I have been going to Dr. Santorsola and his staff since I was a child. They have always been the absolute best. They have the most up to date techniques and equipment to provide the best care possible. After reading the previous review, I can only assume that poor hygiene lead to a very sensitive gum line. I wont say that I enjoy getting my teeth cleaned, but I am never in anything more than mild discomfort. As for her comment on the ultrasonic pick "supersonic pick from the underworld". It is an irritating little tool, but it provides a much better clean and is optional. All you need do is ask and the traditional pick is what they will use. I recommend Dr. Santorsola to all my friends and family. It is important to remember that your dental cleaning is just that "your dental cleaning" let your hygienist know what techniques you prefer, and the experience will be better for all involved.
I did like Dr. Santorsola, but I had such a bad experience with the teeth cleaning that I have decided not to go back. I did complain about the hygienist, and they said that they would put me with a much gentler one next time. Well, my husband had the "much gentler" hygienist, and she hurt him so much he actually yelled. Also, they use this supersonic pick from the underworld that is extremely painful. I figure that something is probably wrong when getting teeth filled seems like a wonderful day at the spa when compared to the cleaning. Plus, I want to still have my teeth and gums intact when I'm 80! It's a real pity because Dr. Santorsola was a great dentist.
