tHad roof replaced about 7 years ago. Chose this roofer because my next door neighbor recommended him. Got 6 bids this one was in the middle. Roof is done quickly only problem is I had to speak to the supervisor because one of the workers was constanly complaining and swearing. We have skylights and they were removed so my wife and 3 children got to hear every grunt and sound in the house. Unfortunately, about 4 years later it starts to leak.
A frame roofing comes out and gives me a price of $800 to fix the leaks and tells me Bothell roofing simply torched down over the shingles. That is a guaranteed leak. I was just amazed that Steve would allow that to happen after working almost 2 years to fix these leaks.
Steve returned, repaired some areas that he said were done wrong (small things) and said the problem was fixed. But the roof continued to leak. For 6 months of moving tarps but still having intermittent leaks he opined that the problem was condensation. I called the roofing materials manufacturer and paid $800 for a roofing specialist for both to tell me that the pitch was too shallow for the windy area in which we live and that water was being blown under the shingles. Bothell roofing had changed the leaking area from torchdown to composite shingles. Steve could not believe it so he met with me on my roof (after 5 or 6 more months of intermittant leaking). Upon pulling up shingles he admitted that water was being blown under the shingles and agreed that the roof should be changed to torchdown. He asked for $1000 for the additional materials and replaced that part of the roof. With the water damage in the house I may have balked but now the roof was 51/2 years old and Steve had certainly been attempting to resolve the issue so I gave him the $1000.
I called Bothell Roofing to get an estimate for updating the waterproofing on a deck. Albert came out the next day and measured the site and we discussed the work. He told me that he would send an estimate the following day. After hearing nothing, I left a message with the receptionist a couple weeks later and Albert returned my call and said he would look into why I hadn't received the estimate. That was the last I heard from him, despite 3 more calls from me (leaving messages with receptionist as well as a call directly to Albert's cell number listed on their website) over a period of 4 more weeks and an email just requesting an update. I asked that even if they weren't interested in doing the job, to please just let me know. I received no response. A simple 30 second call back would have sufficed. Albert demonstrated to me that Bothell Roofing is unprofessional and unreliable.

Problem solved? I thought so, until about 2 years later and the roof again began leaking. I had become aquainted with a company that only does roof repairs called "A frame roofing". They had done some commercial roofing work on a commercial building that I own and I was pleased with their work.
